Home > Who We Are

We’re located in Memphis, Tennessee.  Our mission is to end homelessness for Memphis’ most vulnerable population by providing housing and supportive services one Door at a time.

Our approach to ending homlessness in Memphis focuses on providing not just housing to Memphis’ most vulnerable population, but also supportive services, which are critical to ensuring our Guests remain off the streets and are able to live securely in their own apartment or in one of our two facilities.

Our vision is to create a better Memphis by helping the homeless in Memphis open doors to a better life.   Incorporated in 2005 as a Tennessee non-profit, Door of Hope grew out of a 2003 ad-hoc movement of concerned individuals to address the growing population of men and women who were without housing in the Midtown section of Memphis. In 2006, Door of Hope became tax-exempt, and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) entity.
