Door of Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We welcome financial donations in any amount, as well as in-kind donations and gifts of time and talent. Our most pressing needs are listed below.

Financial Donations:

A gift of:
$3 pays the co-pay for one medication for one month for one Guest
$25 pays for “extras” for the noon meal once a week
$36 pays for the co-pay for one medication for one Guest for one year
$50 pays for a one month bus pass for one Guest
$60 pays for gas for transportation for Guests for one week
$100 pays the Food Bank bill for one month
$125 pays a deposit for new service with MLGW
$200 pays a deposit on a new apartment
$300 pays for phone and internet service at Door of Hope for one month
$500 pays the rent at Door of Hope for one month
$7,000 pays operating costs for Door of Hope for one month
$20,000 pays the insurance for Door of Hope for one year

In-Kind Donations:

Cleaning products: Dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, Pine-sol, bleach, sponges, mops, brooms, dishtowels, scrub brushes
Bedding and bath: pillows, sheets, towels and washcloths
Furniture: mattresses, dressers, tables, chairs, TVs, lamps, table lamps, and sofas
Toiletry items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo (regular and travel size), lotion, hand soap, combs, brushes
Clothing: men and women’s underwear (M-XXXL), socks, t-shirts, belts (M-XXXL), shoes
