We are soooo excited to have been choosen as one of the Give365 recipients this year!! This is wonderful news for Door of Hope, as this will allow us to add garden beds to the property on Bellevue and provide our Guests with a new learning opportunity and fresh vegetables from the garden. The grant amount is $10,000 and in addition to a gardening program it will also allow us to offer nutrition, health and fitness programs and learning opportunities to our Guests.
Being able to teach our Guests life skills, such as gardening is critical to our mission of helping them become independent and self-supporting. These are skills that so many of us take for granted, easily forgetting that for some these skills were never taught to them.
